We believe our children should be provided with as many opportunies available to help them develop a foundation and love of learning that will continue throughout their lives. Daily, parents are working with the teachers, staff and administration at McKinley to enhance and expand all the student's learning experiences.

What We Do

The McKinley PTA provides a variety of programs from afterschool programs to buses for field trips. Visit the Programs tab to find a list of all activities we are involved with.

McKinley PTA holds meetings on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:45 pm in the Panther Room.  Park in the staff parking lot and enter the building through the lunch shelter gate.  Come as early as 6:00 to socialize and enjoy light snacks.  Meetings usually run for 45 mins.  Childcare is provided and includes pizza for the kids!

You don't have to be a member to attend the meetings (membership means voting rights).

You also don't have to attend the meetings or volunteer if you join.

The annual cost of the PTA membership is only $7 per member. It includes membership in the McKinley PTA, California PTA and National PTAs. Fifty cents of the dues stays with the McKinley PTA. The remaining $6.50 is paid to the state and national organizations to help fund programs and provide resources available to all PTA members. This includes funding for the legistlative initiatives and advocacy in DC for education issues.

There are also "perks" available to PTA members such as discounts to LegoLand, SeaWorld and even for computer programs.

Pick up a membership envelope in the school office. Fill out the envelope, enclose $7 per member, and return the envelope to school!

Who We Are
